Ouch!!!

Poor little Emilie has just discovered the down side of becomign a big 4 year old.... We have just come home from the Material and Child Health clinic and both Emilie and Hugh where due for injections...
She even made me cry... Bless her little heart. But a minute of cuddles and she was back to new. She went off and played then returned to watch her brother have his. She told the health nurse that "the needle was too sharp and did you know that it really hurts.." thank god it is the last one! They both also had the development assessments done and both a fine! Emilie has a habit of walking on her tip-toes that we haev to watch... but apart from that no concerns at all!
Weigh in last Thursday night reveled a loss of a whole kilo.. so sitting at 64kg. I am more focused and ready to loss that other 2 kg that I have been talking about.. 62 here i come.
We had about 30 people here for tea on Saturday night for a Apex dinner. Jack is currently president of Warracknabeal Apex and they had a working bee here in Saturday arvo.. then we had a "pot - luck tea".. great night. House was FULL of mud at the end of the night but that is what you get when it RAINS... did you here that... it actually rained over the weekend.. amazing!! the blokes had a huge bonfire in the swamp and the wives and kids just stayed up at the house. Lots of food and drinks..and mess. Jack took the kids fishing at the dam in the morning so I could clean... Back to new now!
So.. just quick post for now. Things are going great and I think my neighbour will join WW this week, I love it when someone joins up because you have motivated them! What better reward then that!

TTFN..

Blimey, a whole kilo? That's fantastic! Must have been due to your obviously increased rain dancing efforts - see what you can do when you put your mind to it? Now, you just need to tour across the drought-ridden country, dancing that 2kg off. Ok then? Good.

Your poor kids with getting their needles. Good on Emilie for vocalising her opinion, these crazy health care nurses just simply can't get about inflicting harm on young children, it's just not right. LOL at your shedding a tear - my Dad still can't watch me get needles, so cute for a 53yo bloke.

Have a great week spunk, CKK x

Yay!!!!!

Well done sweetie on losing a whole kilo! Woohoo :) Are you just counting points and/or exercising?

I just loved what Emilie said to the nurse! How cool :)

Will definitely take you up on the bad photo challenge, though I know that I become more camera shy the higher my weight became. Not nowadays - I'm becoming the biggest photo hog (which I'm sure is becoming more obvious from my little blog)!

Have a great week Kirsty,

ps. Yep, the tall dude next to me in that photo is my boy Anthony :)

A kilo is fantastc hun! Don;t kids just break your heart when it is Immunisation time? You end up feeling so guilty about putting them through it but yet you know it is best. What a cute comment from emilie.

I am a big sook with needles too - I agree with her! they are sharp and they do hurt! I HATED giving kids injections, I would go home feeling guilty. Thens nothing worse that when a little tiny person is looking at you like you are thie biggest meanest person in the world! Well done on the kilo too! It was been raining hre quite a bit too, and I just read in the Bllarat Courier that it is going to be 12 degrees here Friday, I miss QLD... Have a lovely day

Just thought I'd come back and update before I win 'Bad mum of the year award'... Hubby just took Josh to docs. 2 needles, 1 in each arm - not a sound. tough little things that they are. glad I popped by yesterday. have a great day.

Congrats on your loss Kirsty - 1kg is fantastic. And I agree it must have had something to do with all the rain dancing you must have done LOL.

The little ones sure keep us on our toes too don't they :D
