Poor little Emilie (4 year old) was didn't settle until about 2 this morning... her knees where sore... the only thing that I can put it down to are 'growing pains' - not sure if this is a real condition, or something that my mother used to tell me.... Anyone else out there have any idea on growing pains?
NoCount is still going really well. I have only used 4 points.. won't use any today. 3 of my four points where TWO WW Orange Choc bars on Saturday night - my little treat while watching a very scary movie with Jack. Skeleton Key - Had Kate Hudson in it. I am normally a chick flick kinda gal.. but this movie sucked me in... and the other point was 1/2 for a little bit of flour in my NoCount lagsana and the to the 1/2 was for BBQ sauce on my Bacon and Egg yesterday. Seems to be little effort to keep on track...
I brought a OMRON brand pedometer from our chemist and it can be worn around my neck, which was a bonus for me. I would throw a kid on my hip 30 or 40 times a day... about the same number of times my pedometer would hit the dust! Very happy with it. Been walking this morning. the girls watched Play school and hugh and I headed out. Can't run with the pram.. so it was just a very brisk walk!
Ok.. just a quick post. Will check in on all sometime during the day... but I need to get some housework going before too much else!!

I'm not sure if the growing pains are 'real' i.e. if you'd find it in a medical text book, but I remember having sore legs too. Sometimes I still get similar pains. Don't know if you guys have it in Australia, but I use arnica cream and it really helps.
I believe in growing pains. It must hurt when their little legs and arms are getting longer, mustn't it?
Hope she feels better soon, I say try the heat packs, it can't hurt.

I grew up with 'growing pains' too, and have affectionately given that name to the stretchy pains I've been getting in my uterus of late!!!
What a great idea about the neck pedometer, haven't heard of these in NZ. Great to hear you are finding the NO Points easy, I haven't been back to WW since they started it so don't really understand it.
Glad to hear you also enjoying your walking :-)
Apparently growing pains are real. But it's best to get her checked by a doctor just in case it's somethng else.
May be a virus or something.
The pedometer sounds good. Is it reliable?
Ohhh I was always told about growing pains but I dont know any remedies. Jadey is right, a viral infection can make our joints hurt too (not sure why)..
Id love to see a pic of the neck pedometer, although googling it would probably be the less lazy option for me wouldnt it? LOL
I'm sorry I gave such short notice for the blogger meet. I have a few more in the pipeline so keep your eye out!
Hi there. My 10 year old niece has had 'growing pains' at some stage or another for about 4 years so I too think they are real.
You'll be happy to hear that I took Josh for his MMR immunisation at the Children's Hospital ON MY OWN.... and he didn't even flinch. Tougher than his mum for sure.
Hope you're having a great week.
wow, no count is really working well for you :)
I was lucky and didn't have them, but my sister suffered in her legs and in her feet. Mum took her to specialists and doctors and nobody could see anything or do anything but Mum swears they stopped the day she stopped growing.
I often wonder if the little screams my boys let out in the night are from growing pains.
Hope they subside for her soon.
