WATCH THIS SPACE ** MY FIRST CHALLENGE**

** Edit - Weigh in results just in - stayed the same - 65.5kg **
Yes... you read correctly... I have never set myself up for a challenge before now.... but the time has come for me to MOVE IT......
I haven't been able to get everything together at the one time and now, perhaps not so much for weight loss, but to maintain my weight I need to move it again. Those hot days stopped me and I haven't been able to get going again!!

So what will the challenge involve??? I'm not too sure yet... so please keep posted.... I am about to sit down and read all of the Weight Watchers "Move" info then I will post back with the details....
But I now what my reward will be - A new pair of sneakers and I know how long I want to set the challenge for - 6 weeks - now I just have to work out what the challenge for the 6 weeks is going to be.. perhaps starting slowly again and working up to what I what to be able to do forever?? I haven't got new habits yet for exercise - that is what I am going to be working on !!!
Ok... i'm back and ready to go....

My Rules

Must wear Pedometer each day and get to 50,000 steps for the entire week (This might not seem ike a lot to some of you - but it has been three weeks since I really exercised continually)

Do WW new 15 minute DVD at least 3 times with resistance (again - doesn't seem like A lot, but I promise it will get harder...)

Each meal - stop 3/4 through to see if I am still hungry (I just ate a huge meal - that is why that one is there!!)

Drink my water bottle at least once each day

My idea is that each week I will slowly increase my movements up to the six week mark.... then if I do each weekly challenge for the 6 weeks I will reward myself with a new pair of sneakers...

What do you think??? Too easy.... It is only week one!!

Ok girly... why dont you get into running? seriously - its such a fantastic challenge, great for your cardiovascular system and even better for your bum and thighs!! When I first started I couldnt run the block - now I have got 3 half marathons under my belt - and if these orthotics work Ill be back at serious training this month for my first full marathon. Check out the ausrun website for some beginners programs - you could easily reach your 6 week goal with one of the programs there.

Love est aka "the matron"

PS. when I did my training I swore I would never get one of those watches , or those hideous nursing shoes that look like blue leather trainers:)

No, I don;t think it sounds too easy - afterall, it's about keeping it up for the 6 weeks, so it has to be achievable. Good luck - you can do it!

Nope not easy. Simple yes, but not easy.

Have fun with it and just keep going with it. You will do really well :D

The hot days threw me off exercising too but glad to hear your back into it! Hey, have you seen the new WW mag? It has some good exercise challenge ideas if you need some help. I can hear those sneaker coming your way in a couple of weeks!!

I think it is great that you start off at a level that you feel is achievable for you and then build on it from there. There are times when I have great ideas about how I am going to do all this exercise but the bottom line is I have limited time available and I need to just find what works for me - good for you for doing that.
Good luck and have a great week !

Hi Kirsty,

Thanks for your comment - am pretty new to the blog business and I get a HUGE buzz when I get a comment. Have had a quick squizz at your blog - you've obviously done tremendously well - congratulations. I faced all the same problems at about the same age as you and got them under control for a long time - stopping smoking and a marriage breakup, then a lovely new man with a great social life caused a bit of a blip in my forties but I'm hanging in there again now. Your children are absolutely gorgeous - enjoy them - they're without doubt one of the best achievements you will ever have in your life - thus speaks the mother of 26 and 27 year old sons - one married to the best daughter in law in the world and two adorable grandsons 4 and 2 1/2 months, the other single and cavorting round the world - currently in South
America - Rio for the Carnivale to be precise. Thanks again for the comment - will keep in touch.

Any challenge you set youself while managing 3 children is not easy, be it get to the end of the day or get to the end of 6 weeks. I think challenge's are great in any form.

Thanks for stopping by and saying hi ;)

So, how's this challenge of yours going? I think I need something along similar lines.

Esther's idea sounds like a good one; how good would running be??!
