Books....

For a change, i thought over the week that I would read something that isn't health, weight, fitness related, just for something different.

I read an article in one of the weekend papers about Jodi Picoult, sucked me in so I borrowed one of her books from the Library and begun to read.. Second Glance.

For me, to read a novel, it really has to suck me in from the beginning, otherwise I soon get bored and start thinking about all of the others things that I should be doing rather then reading...

Anyway... the kids where lucky that they got fed on Friday!! I got sucked in... and NOTHING else happened until I finished that book!

Is anyone one else like that???

I might only read like that a hand full of times a year, because time doesn't permit to many days of doing nothing, but I love getting totally sucked into a book to the point where I wake in the morning and want to get up and read...

The book itself was great... but won't be picking up any more for a little while.. got muscles and bones to read about!

I love to read, even if it is only one page at night just before bed. I also read several books at once, my husband doesn't understand it but it depends on how I feel that day as to which book I pick up.

The last book that totally sucked me in was The Bronze Horseman. Didn't think it would be my kind of book - but I loved it.

Yes I also love to read and I go through stages where I want to read non-fiction, weight, health and fitness books, but other days I want to read a good novel.

Trouble is sometimes I start a book at work during my lunch hour and you just don't want to stop...

I haven't read a good novel for a long time, but I do have about 30 non-fiction books on my table from the libray. After I have got through all these it will be time for some novels

I just love routine. I couldn't manage without it. Life is so busy, it would be unmanageable if I didn't plan and have a routine. My kids are good kids, but can be a hand full, and if I didn't have a routine they would be feral. I often have people say to me, 'you are so lucky because you're kids..........' Believe me luck has nothing to do with it, just consistency and a lot of hard work. If you have a routine they know what's going on too. Works well in our house.

Jodie Picoult is a great author, all her books are fantastic. Sometimes www.fishpond.com.au has great prices on her books. Plus they have free postage on orders over $50. They also send $10 git vouchers from time to time, when they see you have books in your wishlist. A previous poster mentioned Bronze Horseman, it's by Paullina Simons and awesome author. This book is actually the first of a series, and is one of the best series I have ever read.

Did you work out your ipod issues?

How is Jack enjoying his new job? Love the response from your child when asked 'what does daddy do?' - out of the mouths of babes lol.....
