It is time for us to say goodbye to something that has been a part of our everyday lives for nearly the past 4 years... There will be a huge gap in our kitchen without you.... But it is time to go.... High chair!!
After spending nearly an hour, scrubbing off any remains of food that has been building up in those hard to reach places... I am comfortable to give it away... Without the new owners "tish tish" my mothering and cleaning skills... Hugh, although still a little boy decided about a month ago that he no longer required the aid of the high chair... but instead he wished to be with everyone else at the kitchen table. And who am I to argue. From nearly four years of cleaning and tripping over our high chair... I am pleased to see it go! But further more... I am pleased to see it go to a good home! Friends of ours in Warracknabeal son is moving back to Australia from Zambia with their 2 year old and number 2 arriving in May... so it will be straight back to work for the highchair. I think it has enough left in it for another 12 kids!!
As you can see from my photo attached... our highchair is fairly flash and you are thinking (if you have had kids and know how expensive these things are...) my god did they spend that much on a highchair!!! Well... not in a pink fit!! I won it.. you know in one of those baby magazine... "please tell us in 25 words or less why you would like to win this Peg Pergro Highchair valued at $450.00" - Sorry - but I can't remember what I wrote... but whatever it was it must have been convincing..
So another reason why I am happy to give it away... it is just to good to leave up in our barn... just in case we get visitors with young kids! It has had all of our kids sit up in it from about the age of 6 weeks or so.. many a birthday cake also had it's candles blown out upon it's table... So, far well old friend and enjoy your new surrounds!!
Just a quick Challenge update - so far so good... but food has been average.. Eaten all my points each day... I have been starving!! But I have been good with exercise so I should not see a gain!

Making Chicken Curry Risitto tonight... I must put that receipe to the points cafe - great for NoCount and not bad either for points. Just came back from a 1 year old birthday party at the park - now I have two in bed and I think I will see about a little Nanna Nap myself.. Laura was up at 3.30am and didn't really go back to sleep - she woke Hugh at about 5.30am - so I don't think I have been back to sleep since 3.30 - and If I did.. it was just a doze. Time for catch up.!
Hope you all have a great week!!

Yaaay. We have just given our high chair away too. Even though not the Peg we still got one that leant backwards, had the tray table you could hang up on the legs, fold up and down etc. Everything except clean itself LOL. It is great that we get to pass it on to someone who will use it and abuse it with love. And we don't have to put up with it a day longer.
I totally understand your joy :D
I understand about the highchair too. We had one the same, my Dad brought it for his first grandchild, my eldest and my sisters two have used it, now it has been handed back to Dad for his little girl - so i still see it all he time...lol
Oh the high chair is gone... I am guessing that must be a defining moment in a young mums life. No more chasing food around it with a dish cloth, extracting peas from out of the seat belt etc!
Now I would have LOVED that G+T, however I have decided to cut back on drinking for a couple of weeks, and cut down of coffee too. I'm going to see a naturopath after I get my results and I know that is what she will say to do anyway... Im sure that the Dr will give me some good advice what ever happens.
Its mad isnt it the weight goal thing? Sometimes I wonder if i will ever be happy. I think that I really DO want to get to the 56 mark - maybe more just to prove I can. Do you think you will be satisfied when you get to your goal??
By the way, what was the job? we ont get the wimmera times, we get the weekly times, courier and the age. Let me know when you get a minute...
