Em was the "boss" last night... be it all of 10 minutes, but she took her role very seriously....
Jack and I had to mark a couple of lambs last night (ring their tails) that where to little to be sold at market... long story... but we took Hugh down to the shearing shed with us and told Em that she was the boss...
Just as I left the house Laura said to her "Come on Em, lets play barbie...."
Em... ""No Laura, Bosses don't play!!"
Little giggle to myself and left them and headed down that back... 10 minutes later I return to the house and she has washed all of the lunch boxes for me... "Cos, that is what bosses do"
I like her work ethic!

I might make my 8 year old the boss and see if she pitches in and does some housework.
I thought I would share my "secret" story with you. I went into town yesterday as it was freezing and I needed long trousers for the kids for school. As it was pouring with rain in our small rural town I was thinking, cripes, no way I'll get a park close enough to leave four midgets quickly in car while I run in. Then I thought "yes, I will find a park and it will be right outside". I said it out loud and i believed it and the kids laughed and said "no way you'll find a park Mum" but I was sure I would and just as I approached the shop I needed to go into, the car parked outside pulled out and I got a park at the door. It works!!!
How cute.. hope her new found bossiness lasts and she does more jobs for you... but somehow I don't think it will!
That is so cute. I love it. Lets just hope she continues her work ethic right through her teenage years. :)
